Nylon sutures Monosof / Dermalon

Monosof / Dermalon monofilament sutures are inert, nonabsorbable, sterile sutures composed of the long-chain aliphatic polymers Nylon 6 and Nylon 6.6.
Flexible, easy to handle and tie.
Smooth passage through tissue.

Indications
Monosof / Dermalon monofilament nylon sutures are indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or kligation, icluding use in cardiovascular, ophtalmic and neurological surgery.

Actions
Monosof / Dermalon monofilament nylon sutures elicit a minimal acute inflammatory reaction in tissue, which is followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective tissue.

Tensile strength
As with any nylon suture, though not absorbed, progressive hydrolysis of the suture, in vivo, may result in gradual loss of its tensile strength over time.

Sterilization
Monosof / Dermalon monofilament nylon sutures are sterilized by Ethylene oxide or Gamma irradiation.

Packaging
The sutures are supplied sterile, non-needled or affixed to various needle types.
Triangular needle 3/8th of circle.
Colour : blue except 5/0 : black.
Box of 36 pieces.
