The DefiSign Pocket Plus is a compact defibrillator with many features. Its small size makes it easy to carry in the provided bag. The AED is suitable for both healthcare professionals and laypersons. It can therefore be used in various situations. The brightness of the LCD screen automatically adjusts to the environment. The LCD screen provides visual instructions that guide the user throughout the resuscitation process.

The numbering of the power button, the LCD screen, and the shock button allows the user to know exactly what steps to follow. Additionally, the electrodes are pre-connected. The AED also features a child button that, when pressed, automatically switches the device to child mode. This defibrillator enables the rescuer to focus entirely on resuscitation. During resuscitation, the AED provides additional assistance in the form of:

• Audio assistance (step-by-step)

• Visual assistance (using images on the color LCD screen)

• Metronome indicating the rhythm of chest compressions

The large color LCD screen, the small size of the AED, and the ECG option make the device perfectly suited for professional use. Moreover, the AED is also ideal for general practitioners and healthcare facilities that often require a professional AED with more features. The AED has a very short charging time, allowing the shock to be delivered in less than 16 seconds. The optional ECG display provides information about the heart rhythm. This can be monitored during use and reviewed later through a recording. It is possible to use a rechargeable battery for the AED.

Self-Test
The AED regularly performs self-tests to ensure the device is working correctly. The status is indicated by a flashing on/off button.

Batteries
The DefiSign Pocket Plus AED includes two batteries. The life span of the external batteries depends on the following scenarios:

• With weekly self-tests: approx. 1 year and 6 months
• With monthly self-tests: approx. 2 years and 6 months

The AED also has an internal battery that should be replaced after around 6 years.
